What do we believe and value?

Christ-Centered, Outreach-oriented: A Passion to live for --God’s Son who gave his life to give us life.  The bible notes: “Christ died for all so that those who live would not continue to live for themselves. He died for them and was raised from the dead so that they would live for him."  (2 Corinthians 5:15-21, New Century Version)  Our mission is to inspire & challenge people to live beyond themselves, for God’s son, purposes, and people –to seek the Lord and the Lost.

Purpose-Driven: To love God, love and serve others, become like Jesus, and share his message. God created us to be purposeful, action-oriented, Christ-followers: “God has made us what we are. In Christ Jesus, God made us to do good works, which God planned in advance for us to live our lives doing.“ (Ephesians 2:10 NLT) Our mission is to inspire, invite, and persuade people to trust in Jesus Christ and fulfill God’s purposes of worship, fellowship, ministry, discipleship, and evangelism.

Bible-based: The Scriptures, show us how to live to please God and fulfill His purposes. "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. It is God's way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do."   (2 Timothy 3:16-17, NLT)  Our mission is to challenge people to live by the bible’s directives, principles, and promises rather than our personal preferences, feelings, or comfort level.

Spirit-filled:
God’s Spirit enables us to follow Jesus and share his message with others as He promised: "..when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power and will tell people about me everywhere..." (Acts 1:8 New Living Translation)  Our mission is to help everyone discover the partnership, power, gifts and guidance of the Holy Spirit; to develop  spiritual gifts in serving others.

A Church of Small Groups: We believe that participation in small groups, and serving in ministries that match our gifts greatly enhances personal spiritual growth and life change. As the Scripture notes:  "Now all of you together are Christ's body, and each one of you is a separate and necessary part of it."  1 Corinthians 12:27 NLT Further, we stress involvement in our Christian community, rather than behave like spiritual “consumers.”
