Missions are a big deal to us because they're a big deal to Jesus. He told us to "go and make disciples of all nations." So we do. Starting in our own back yard. Our aim is to show God’s love and share the good news about Jesus to all, and we’ve organized events and projects from Utica to Mexico to do so. We also support Missionaries in India, China, Central & South America, Mexico, and Russia. We want to be like Jesus by expressing his concern for the needs of the poor, the sick, the widows, and the orphans around the world. We want to live open-handedly. We want to make a difference by reaching out to all people and nations daily with our prayers and our actions. To most Christ-followers "missions" is an abstract concept rather than a lifestyle. At Discover we think ordinary everyday people can change the world. In fact, we offer short-term mission trips for ordinary people to participate in.
